Robert J. Costa

Born: March 19, 1928
Died: August 18, 2020

Robert (Bob) was a civil engineer who owned his own company in Concord for many years. He was a member of the Concord Planning Commission, Rotary club, Elks, Knights of Columbus and SIRS golf club, to name a few.

Golf was his passion, where he competed alongside friends and business associates, and fellow competitor golfers. Too many trophies to count! The only golfer to play right handed-when putting a right to left putt- and left handed when putting left to right. His home away from home was on the golf course!

He will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, endearing personality, love for life and living in the moment, many close friends and humble ways.  He is now golfing on the course in the sky, with his best handicap ever!

In lieu of flowers, Robert’s family has selected First Tee Contra Costa to receive donations in his memory. We are sincerely thankful for the support and humbled to be a part of Robert’s memorial. Contributions to the memorial will help fund scholarships for our program and make the First Tee Program available to youth who may not otherwise be able to afford it.
